Father God,

We ask your protection on those who protect us.  The first responders in emergencies, the police, the ambulance officers, the fire services and the emergency services who help us when natural disasters strike.  Thank you for their willingness to put themselves in the face of danger so unselfishly.  May they always have the support they need from their families and communitites.

Amen
